Approved leave for teaching staff is pushed into TASS as an absence so the daily organiser can arrange class cover from one screen.

When a staff member is terminated in Employment Hero, their TASS record is updated so they drop out of timetabling and duties.

We have been an Employment Hero Payroll partner since back in the day, when it was called Keypay, and now after the acquisition of Employment Hero we work even more closely with them. We have three main integrations with EH Payroll – HiBob, Simpro and PowerBi.
TASS (The Alpha School System) is a school management system used by over 400 Australian independent and Catholic K-12 schools for administration, finance, payroll, timetabling and parent, staff and student portals. It is ISO 27001 certified and offers a library of public REST APIs alongside a Certified Integration Partner program.

One way, Employment Hero to TASS. Employment Hero is the source of truth for staff details and leave. A reverse flow (class cover entered in TASS sent back to Employment Hero as leave) can be scoped on request if a school prefers to keep cover entry in TASS.
Staff record sync is the core of the integration. The leave to class cover flow depends on the TASS APIs available to certified partners, which we are confirming with TASS during certification. Registering your interest and telling us you need this flow helps us make the case to TASS.
Access to the TASS EmployeeHR API (licence code API13). TASS lists this as included with a Premium licence and available as an add-on with a Basic licence. Your school requests the API key through TASS licensing. We will confirm the exact requirements with TASS during certification.
