What is simPRO eForms?

simPRO eForms is a free app that can be downloaded from the App Store for iOS devices and Google Play. It will work on many different types of tablets and operating systems. The form can be filled out by your technician in the field and sent to the eForms Portal. If you do not need them reviewed, they can also go directly to simPRO as an attachment against the job or quote with your company.

 

Benefits of simPRO eForms

simPRO eForms is a great way to digitise and automate your paper forms. simPRO eForms gives you the power to:

  • eliminate paper
  • increase accuracy
  • save time by using simPRO eForms on tablet devices
  • keep information up-to-date in simPRO as jobs progress in real time from simPRO eForms.
  • create simPRO jobs and estimates easily from pre-populated fields in simPRO eForms.
  • upload simPRO file attachments to a simPRO job or estimate from simPRO eForms.

simPRO eForms supports simPRO file attachments in simPRO version 5 and above.

Use the simPRO eForms Designer to create, edit and customise your forms. simPRO eForms templates are provided free of charge via the App Store or Google Play.

 

Is simPRO eForms free?

simPRO eForms is available to all users as a paid add-on. As eForms is a separately licensed add-on product, your simPRO licence does not give you access to eForms.

 

How much does simPRO eForms cost?

simPRO eForms pricing starts at $14 per month per field user license. simPRO eForms isn’t included in simPRO’s standard licence and can be added to your account by calling simPRO’s sales department.

 

How do I use & integrate simPRO eForms

Create and edit form templates in the eForms Designer in the eForms portal. You can digitize your forms this way so that they can be completed with the eForms app.

To integrate eForms with simPRO:

  1. Go to System A screenshot of a schedule icon with a grey calendar icon and an arrow. > Setup > Extensions.
  2. Click Connect to simPRO.
  3. If you are not currently logged in to your simPRO account, enter your Username and Password, then click Login.
  4. Click Authorise.

eForms will then be integrated with simPRO. If you have integrated simPRO, set up form templates with fields that will automatically retrieve simPRO data when you enter a job number or quote number in the form.

You can auto-populate simPRO employee details on your eForms forms by linking your simPRO and eForms employees.

  1. Go to System A screenshot of a schedule icon with a grey calendar icon and an arrow. > Setup > Users.
  2. Create a new user, or edit an existing one.
  3. Under Link to simPRO Employee, enter the employee’s name as it appears in your simPRO build and select it from the drop-down options.
  4. Click Submit User Changes.

When designing a form, add a Text field that auto-populates any of the following details:

  • Employee Name
  • Employee First Name
  • Employee Email
  • Employee Phone
  • Employee custom fields

When an employee opens this form in the eForms app, their simPRO employee details will already be populated.

 

Why should I use simPRO eForms?

Use simPRO eForms to:

  • Edit and customise your forms in the eForms Designer in the eForms portal. Learn more in How to Use the eForms Designer.
  • Complete forms on tablet devices using the eForms app.
  • Capture and attach unlimited photographs.
  • Collect signatures and drawings.
  • Submit forms electronically from the eForms app to the eForms portal in real time.
  • Integrate the eForms portal with simPRO to auto-complete forms with data from quotes and jobs.

eForms can be used standalone or integrated with simPRO.

 

How do I view simPRO eForm templates?

To manage your forms in the eForms portal, go to the Templates tab. You can then view all form templates created along with their Form Name, unique Form ID, Version as well as who has created / edited the template and the corresponding timestamp. To filter and locate specific form templates, enter the Form Name or select Show Generic Forms Only / Show Archived Forms Only to view generic / archived forms. Click a form template to edit, or alternatively, click Options > Edit Form. You can also copy and archive forms using the Options button.

 

How do I create a new simPRO eForm template?

You can create simPRO-integrated templates with fields that can be filled out by technicians or create templates without the simPRO integration, that technicians can fill out and submit. To create and edit forms, you need to have access to the eForms Designer enabled in your security group settings.

You can create simPRO-integrated form templates containing both fields that require manual completion, as well as text fields that automatically populate with specific data from simPRO when you enter a job / quote number in the form in the eForms app. Alternatively, you can create generic form templates containing fields that do not use simPRO integration and can only be manually completed.

 

Can I review eForms before they are processed?

When you make a form, you can set it so that all forms submitted from the app will be reviewed in the portal before being processed. If you have integrated eForms with simPRO, forms won’t be pushed through to simPRO until they are approved. You can also select who will get copies of all forms completed using the template when submitted from the app.

 

simPRO eForms alternative?

If you need a more comprehensive simPRO form with additional field input types, we’d recommend that you look into the simPRO’s integration with iAuditor. Include the client’s information in your new audit template. This will save time by not having to enter the info twice. Encourage your field workers to complete audits by giving them a prefilled template with key info. When they are done, have them print a PDF and upload it back into simPRO with the correct job.

 

What other integrations does simPRO offer?
